Rekey or replace?

A common question, and getting it right can save you a fair bit.

Rekey

We change the pins inside your existing lock so it works with a new key. The lock stays on the door, old keys stop working, and it usually costs less than new hardware.

Best after moving in, losing keys, or a change of tenant or staff.

Replace

New locks make sense when the old ones are worn, damaged or low security, or you want something different like a deadbolt or keyless entry.

Best when the lock is failing or you're upgrading.

How quickly can you get to me?
It depends on where you are and what's already booked. Call us and we'll give you an honest arrival time over the phone, not a guess to win the job.
Will you ask for ID when I'm locked out?
Yes. Before opening a home or business we'll ask for ID or paperwork showing you live or work there. It's there to protect you, and it only takes a minute.
Can one key open all my doors?
Often, yes. Compatible locks can usually be keyed alike, so the front door, back door and garage all use the same key. Tell us what you have and we'll check.
Do you work with landlords and property managers?
Yes. We rekey between tenancies, cut keys for new tenants and can deal directly with property managers to arrange access.
